Turnback Farm is part of a 92 acre homestead located in Lawrence County between Everton and Miller, Missouri, along the bank of the Turnback Creek. John and Penny have been organically gardening, farming, and exploring various aspects of self-sustainability together since 2021. Each year the farm gets “bigger” with additional garden space, new animals (chickens in 2022, pigs in 2024), and expanding projects (like the new Wood Mizer sawmill in 2023 on which John mills oak, walnut, ash, and pecan from their own acreage and nearby properties). The farm currently offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, grass fed and finished beef and pork, customized furniture, craft hardwoods, and whatever else is “in season”. Stop by one of the Farmer's Market of the Ozarks locations in Springfield on Saturdays to chat about farming and pick up some fresh produce!
